I also wanted something for long trips in case I got a flat or just needed some air. I should have ordered this product a while ago because it works great. Here is why I like it:1. This is easy to transport, not that heavy, and while not small, not a big deal to store in the car in the back seat or trunk. 2. This has a built in white LED light so you can see what you are doing at night, and a red flashing strobe to warn other motorists. 3. The air hose easily fits onto the valve stem of the tire and easily clamps shut and stays put during inflation. The DC wire into the cigarette lighter is long enough to position the unit to inflate any of your tires. 4. When not in use the DC wire folds around the unit for storage, and there is a velcro clip to keep it in place.
