I have had this unit for about a month now and I'm very happy with my purchase. I have used/owned Rol-air products in the past and have always found them to be very well made and reliable. This unit has proven to be no exception. The pump is quick to fill the tanks. Unlike cheaper units the motor is rated for continuous duty and Rol-air uses copper tubing to better dissipate heat. My unit was purchased through Acme Tools - it arrived with a broken pressure gauge for the tank pressure (no affect on operation so I still used the unit). I called them and was very happy with the prompt customer service. The manufacturer shipped a new gauge and it arrived about a week later. Replacement was simple. One item I will replace is the tank drain valves - for some reason Rol-air continues to use the cheap brass screw type valves. Do yourself a favor and swap them out for a stainless steel ball valve assembly, faster to drain the tanks and they never freeze up. I'd give it 5 stars if it... I think Rolair makes the best compressors on the market. I've had this unit for about 18 months now and it has performed flawlessly. When remodeling a house with a few people I put a manifold on it so we could run a floor nailer, 15 gauge nailer, and a framer all at the same time. This did not strain the compressor at all; it kept up just fine. It is the quietest compressor I have ever owned, and probably one of the quietest I have ever used. Rolair makes a good product and I think I am going to purchase one of their larger compressors for my garage. I was also considering the IR twin-stack, but I read about some quality control problems IR was having with their compressors and decided against it. No regrets with the Rolair. I think I have seen this exact same compressor at Mendard's branded as a Masterforce. FYI...Masterforce also places their name on Stabila levels. |
